Why this page exists

Credibility is a document trail

Utility filings, permits, assessment records and peer-reviewed studies are public. Most disagreements about data centers can be narrowed considerably by reading them.

Our sourcing standard

  • We identify the original publisher for every external resource.
  • We do not republish third-party reporting as our own.
  • We do not publish figures we cannot trace to a document.
  • Where the evidence is genuinely mixed, we say so rather than choosing the convenient side.
  • We correct errors publicly and note when an entry has been updated.
